Our Vision
Join us for our regular monthly meeting!
York Writers meetings offer everyone attending an opportunity to receive constructive feedback on their writing, to listen to the writing of others, and meet like-minded writers. We normally ask for a small contribution from non-members (£2.50) to cover costs, and yearly membership is just £20.
We welcome all writers of fiction (any genre; novels or short stories), poetry, drama, memoir or biography. Whether you are a complete beginner or a published writer, the only requirement we ask is that all writers treat the other attendees with respect and kindness.
How it works...
Willing participants will have the opportunity to read a short piece of writing that they have been working on, in order to receive constructive feedback from the group. This is completely voluntary, and you are welcome to just listen should you not want to read, or even ask a member to read on your behalf.

Where We Meet
We meet on the first WEDNESDAY of the month at the historic ARTFUL DODGER pub, 47 Micklegate, York YO1 6LJ - in the upstairs function room - from 7.30pm until about 9.30pm. All welcome!
Our Team
Our team comprises a small committee of long-standing members who collaborate to provide input to assist the running of social media, membership, stewardship and a programme of events for the year.
